EPA says recall of VW diesel cars 'likely'

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) -- The United States Environmental Protection Agency said today a recall of impacted Volkswagen diesel automobiles in the on-going emissions scandal would "likely" take location.
"United States Environmental Protection Agency will require Volkswagen to repair the noncompliance. Chances are that there are going to be a recall of affected automobiles," an EPA representative said, adding that no particular timeline was purchased yet.
The German auto-maker has said it'd re-fit upwards to 1 1 million diesel automobiles world-wide.
