FCA begins production of Ram 1500 Rebel
Fiat Chrysler Cars has kicked off generation of its own redesigned 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel.
The brawny pick-up is assembled together with assistance from more than 4,000 employees at the firm's Detroit-region Warren Truck Assembly Plant, a-75-year old facility that crosses 3.3 million-square feet. Mimicking the appearances Ford's f 150 SVT Raptor, the Rebel comes with a blacked-out grille, offroad fender, skid plates, tow hooks, LED foglights, a special tailgate along with a black fender. The pick-up was outfitted using a powerdome hood with two air ports, hiding FCA's 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 or a 5.7-liter HEMI factory with 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of turn, yet the latter powerplant isn't as strong as the Raptor's 6.2-liter V8.Off-road updates contain 33-inch Toyo all terrain tires mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels, while air-suspension aids give the lifted pick-up more than 10" of floor clearance. Pricing for the Rebel 4x2 Crewcab with all the 5.7-liter HEMI begins at $42,790, while the top-spec 4x4 trimming brings in $46,370.
