Fiat, Ford offer incentives to win VW owners in Italy

TORINO -- Fiat Chrysler Cars and Ford are offering inducements in Italy to support owners of Volkswagen Team versions that could be impacted by the German auto-maker diesel emissions scandal to get new versions from their manufacturers -- but some sellers are doubtful in regards to the effort.
VW Team has stated that almost 650,000 of the diesel vehicles it offered in Italy were equipped with applications that enabled the firm to rig diesel emissions checks in the U.S. The versions contain Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Skoda automobiles.
