Google self-driving car was rear-ended July 1, causing minor injuries

DETROIT (Reuters) -- Among Google's self-driving vehicles was in a collision early in July, in which three individuals were hurt when an automobile built with Google technologies was rearended by another car, the organization said.
The three workers suffered mild whiplash in the July 1 event, when a car drove to the back of a Lexus RX450h prototype -- outfitted by Google with specific detectors and applications -- which had halted in a traffic light close to the Google headquarters in Mountain-View, California, a Google representative said today.
The workers were sent into a nearby hospital "as a precautionary measure" but weren't accepted, the representative said.
