Indianapolis 500 Drivers Manage to Keep Cars on Ground

Derrick Walker appeared and seemed still after Sunday's Indy 500.

Sebastian Saavedra hit the fourth turn wall after Jack Hawksworth clipped the rear of his automobile with 24 laps to go. On the rebound, rookie Stefano Coletti slammed to the entrance of Saavedra's automobile.
IndyCar's security team, which saved James Hinchcliffe from a life threatening leg injure Monday, took its time supporting Saavedra out from the vehicle, then taken him to the ambulance. The Colombian motorist was later carried to Indiana University Methodist Hospital where he was identified using a bruised right-foot. Track authorities stated he wanted additional assessment before he'd be cleared to push next weekend in Detroit.
