Jaguar XE SVR will get the V8 powertrain

As we know, Jaguar produces the new XE to present the brand’s Ingenium family of four-cylinder engines. However, the novelty will be offered with as the 3.0-liter V6 unit as the new V8 engine, which will be available as only the optional feature.
According to the Auto Express data, the new XE SVR will be equipped with the Jaguar’s 5.0-liter V8 supercharged engine, which has the output of 489 horsepower. This powertrain is able to accelerate the car from 0 mph to 62 mph just in 4.0 seconds. The electronically limited speed is 155 mph.
To compare the Cadillac ATS-V produces the output of 425 horsepower as the latest M3 of BMW, the Mercedes C63 AMG has the power of 455 horsepower in its turn. In this case, the Jaguar’s small sedan gets all chances to become the most performance car in the segment of small sedans.
Besides the powerful unit, the XE SVR will be equipped with the eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard. In addition, to improve the performance, the car gets tuned suspension, brakes, wheels and stability control as well.
The official debut will take place next year, and then the novelty comes on sale in both European and Chinese auto markets.
