Mercedes has disclosed that its 2016 formulation 1 auto could have some 'fascinating' creations on it, as the group plays to keep its dominance of grand prix racing.
With both globe championships previously sealed, Mercedes attempted a host of new components during exercise in Brazil last weekend - including a fresh suspension layout and aerodynamic parts which could form a part of an S-duct kind option.
The group is determined that it must push difficult to fend off the growing problem from Ferrari, and that's the reason it's contemplating making some revolutionary measures with its W07.
When inquired by Motorsport.com if the Friday evaluations at Interlagos indicated that its 2016 competition could be rather an aggressive layout, Mercedes motorsport chief Toto Wolff stated: "You could possibly get it fairly incorrect in case you opt for an development of a vehicle that performs fairly pretty much currently.
"So, we're not exactly convinced yet. There's some fascinating stuff being drawn, being analyzed in the tunnel and checked out. Among the really intriguing places, touches of it were on the automobile on Friday.
"It's a long-term assessment between development and revolution, also it isn't yet apparent whether we would like to go a little more advanced or not. But in the instant it's better to have guaranteed the tournament and have the ability to examine matters."
Design paths
Even though the S-duct theory components caught most of the media's focus at Brazil last weekend, Motorsport.com has discovered the largest change that has been trialled was a new suspension layout.
This experimentation was shown through the humps in the nose area of of the motor vehicle. Even though the details of the layout will not be understood, there are ideas the team could be creating a fresh type of hydraulic suspension that interconnects the left and right-hand aspect of the vehicle.
Mercedes was a leader of the FRIC (Front and Back Inter Linked) system that has been outlawed a year ago, and therefore has great experience of the manner it works.
The group can also be considered to be assessing lifting the peak of the chassis next year - to get more atmosphere underneath the vehicle.
This may need a fresh suspension lay out, and will also suggest that an S duct becomes an important element of its own design to assist with aerodynamics. Read Source
