New generation of the Volvo XC90 model
We are happy to show you the new generation of the Volvo XC90 model. This SUV will be officially presented in Paris this October. The novelty coms to sale not earlier than next spring.
The XC90 is one of the most popular Volvo’s models. The Volvo SUV is on the market since 2003. And currently, the model will be redesigned.
The XC90 of 2015 model year will be built on the new Volvo’s platform –the dubbed the Scalable Platform Architecture, which will be first used by the auto manufacturer.
Due to updating the XC90 SUV, the carmaker plans to introduce the new SPA platform for the auto market.
This SPA platform allows making many significant improvements in a car; for example, to improve the car’s safety.
The platform is made of using high-strength materials, includes many systems and sensors preventing accidents via braking and steering systems.
Models, which will be based on the new SPA platform including the SUV novelty, will be equipped with the brand’s four-cylinder Drive-E engines. Cars will be offered with turbocharged and plug-in hybrid variants. The hybrids will be able to produce the output of 400 horsepower.
The eight-speed automatic and all-wheel-drive will be available as standard.
The XC90 gets new appearance includes T-formed daytime running lights and vertical taillights.
The interior of the novelty will be also updated and equipped with many upgrades technologies and systems; such as the brand’s interface, with the Volvo connectivity, head-up display, voice activation system and others.
Moreover, the interior will includes leather and wood with accents of crystal grass of Orrefors. The sound system will be the Bowers & Wilkins as well.
