Nissan kicks off 2015 Murano sales
Nissan's 2015 Murano has begun to arrive in showrooms across the country, kicking off sales ahead of the holidays.
Completely redesigned for the latest model year, the crossover will be available in four trim levels with a choice between front- or all-wheel drive. Customers face a base price of $30,445 (including $885 freight), while the new range-topping Platinum package commands $41,485.All variants are powered by Nissan's 3.5-liter V6, tuned to produce 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. Fuel efficiency has jumped by approximately 20 percent, bringing the city/highway EPA estimate up to 24/28 mpg, thanks to revised aerodynamics."Nissan dealers have been clamoring for the new Murano ever since the design was previewed in the futuristic Nissan Resonance Concept," said Nissan North America VP of US sales, Derrick Hatami.The new Murano is billed as Nissan's new halo model for the crossover segment, previewing the design language that will be used for the company's expanding lineup.
