Range Rover will get a new 3-liter engine
In 2014 the 5.0-liter V8 engine Range Rover will be changed into a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine. The company says that the new engine will be offered in the "key global markets, where is a demand for less powerful engines" that is strange enough, considering that the V6 will be available in North America, but not in the UK.
The new 3.0-liter V6 is equipped with a start-stop system, has the power 335HP and maximum torque of 450N/m in the range of 3500 to 5000 rpm.
An engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission accelerate a vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds that makes it slower than the current 5.0-liter V8 model by almost a second. But the amount of emissions is reduced by 15%.
