Report: Man stole friend's car to drive to court

RIVERDALE, N.J. -- A New-Jersey man was accused of stealing a friend's vehicle to prevent lacking a court hearing on drug charges. Jorge Ramirez-Sierra, 21, of Riverdale, continues to be charged with illegal taking of a method of conveyance and driving-while suspended, among other counts. Authorities tell NJ.com the brand new charges came following a man reported his vehicle missing Friday morning. Authorities say the man advised officers Ramirez Sierra had mentioned the night before that he did not understand how he'd get to Paterson for the courtroom hearing. While officers were speaking together with the the master, Ramirez Sierra phoned to say he was returning with all the car. He was taken in to detention after arriving.
