The 2016 Audi Q7’s reveal before the next Detroit show
It will be the second generation of the Audi Q7, which will be presented at the annual auto show in Detroit. The novelty appears on the auto market as a car of 2016 model year.
The updated model gets redesigned shapes of grille, headlights and the front part of the car. At the rear, there are square exhaust pipes.
Moreover, the new Q7 SUV will be a first model, which is based on the new MLB Evo platform of the next generation. The MLB platform includes lightweight materials but more rigid structure. According to engineers, the novelty has to weight about 5,300 pounds as well.
In addition, that platform is available with any types of powertrain including plug-in hybrid and electric versions.
Meanwhile, the novelty is equipped with the 3.0-liter and 4.0-liter TFSI engines and the 3.0-liter TDI unit as well. For the U.S. market, the car is offered with the gasoline powertrains, including plug-in hybrid, and for other markets, there will be a diesel electric unit offered. Moreover, the Q7 will be available in the sports version, which is equipped with the electric turbocharged engine.
