The Geneva Motor Show: new Nissan Note
Nissan revealed all the details of the European version compact van Note of the new generation at the Geneva Motor Show. The exterior of a car was disclosed in the middle of the summer of 2012 when Nissan Note was shown for the Japanese market. The European car differs in little details as the form of a grille and fog lamps.
The basis of Note is the global Nissan platform “V”, which includes three power plants: two gasoline engines and a diesel one.
A gasoline engine of 1.2 liters issuing 80 hp (110 Nm) and 98 hp (142 Nm), and a diesel engine produces 90 hp (219 Nm). These power plants will be able to work with both a manual gearbox and VVT.
In Europe Note will be available in three trim levels: Visia, Acenta and Tekna. Even the simplest version will have six airbags, ESP, “start-stop” system, electric window raisers “cyclically”, the air conditioning system and the audio system with Bluetooth. More expensive versions will be equipped with cruise control, parking sensors and Safety Shield which monitors blind spots with circular cameras equipped individual washers and air nozzles, giving air pressure to optics. It allows using the cameras during even the most inclement weather.
The production of the European Note will begin at the UK factory in Sunderland this summer.
