The M 235i of BMW will be equipped with the all-wheel xDrive
As we have recently known the BMW auto manufacturer had declared to equip the M 235i with the new all-wheel xDrive.
Now we do not have the confirmed information if the versions for the U.S. auto market will be available with four-wheel drive. However, in consideration of the all-wheel-drive cars’ popularity in the Northern states of the U.S., the carmaker will bring the four-wheel-drive M 235i there.
Owing to the additional traction of the system and the standard eight-speed automatic gearbox, the all-wheel-drive M 235i xDrive version is able to accelerate from 0 mph to 62 mph in just 4.6 seconds. Meanwhile, it is faster by 0.2 seconds than the rear-wheel-drive variant.
Certainly, we will get more details when the carmaker conducts its official review.
In addition, BMW plans to equip the 2-series convertible models with the modern all-wheel-drive intelligent system. The updated novelties are planned to be introduced by the end of this year. Moreover, the 228 I will be also equipped with the xDrive in the further future.
