As you know, the current Hyundai Genesis in a coupe version is available with two kinds of powertrains: the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, producing the power of 274 horsepower and the 3.8-liter V6 unit, which is able to issue the output of 348 horsepower as well.
However, according to the latest news, the carmaker has decided to stop production this model with four-cylinder turbo powertrain. Thus, we will have a chanse to have only the V6 version.
The auto manufacturer’s representative announced that Hyundai Genesis model was planned to stop equipping with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine since next year.
Moreover, the Korean carmaker is working on development the second generation of the Genesis coupe, which was presented as the HND-9 concept coupe last year.
The next generation of Genesis will be built on a new platform, get innovative technology and will come on the market in 2016 as a sedan version.
Instead of the four-cylinder Genesis, the carmaker will introduce the Veloster Turbo, which was recently presented.
Certainly, the 2015 novelty will have many up-do-date technologies and functions. We will see it in showrooms not earlier than this fall.
