The production of the Opel Adam will go down
According to the official statement of the auto manufacturer, Opel plans reducing the launching of its mini-car Opel Adam, which is built at the Eisenach plant in Germany.
The main reason is reducing of demand for this model. The Opel brand is going to cut production already this month.
Besides, according to Opel, the reducing of production for the Adams is attributed to no need for the model in the winter season. In addition, the second reason is still economic situation in Europe.
The cutting of Adams’ launching is also connected with the production of the Corsa model, which has many prospects in the auto markets.
Since January, the auto manufacturer has produced about 41,000 cars for the first half a year. At the same time, 27,214 Opel Adams have been sold in the European car market.
Anyway, reduce launching of the Adam model; the brand hopes to be in the car market owing to new products such as a small crossover Mokka and mid-size cabriolet Cascada. Both models are very attracted potential customers.
The Opel and Vauxhall are the part of General Motors, unfortunately, both carmakers cannot boast of sales improving since 1999. During this period, they lost over 18 billion dollars.
According to data of ACEA, for first eight months of this year, the selling of both brands has gone down 5 percent.
