Toyota introduces global market Fortuner SUV
1620
Toyota has launched the new Fortuner, a seven-seater SUV developed mainly for Australia and Thailand.
The Fortuner features the exact same solid body on frame building as the new Hilux pick-up which was unveiled last spring. It elongates 188 inches long, 72 inches wide and 72 inches tall, measurements making it somewhat shorter and narrower than a 4Runner, also it could handle the Australian outback without difficulty thanks to offroad tires and over 8-inches of floor clearance. Indoors, it provides space for around seven passengers in a 2+3+2 shape. Photographs of the inside will not be accessible, but it is safe to presume the SUV shares at least some of elements using the Hilux on which it's based. Power for the Fortuner comes from a 2.8-liter turbo-diesel four-cylinder motor that makes 174 hp at 3,400 rpm or more to 331 pounds-ft. of torque from 1,600 to 2,400 rpm. A six-speed manual-transmission sends power to all wheels by means of a parttime four wheel drive system, as well as a six-speed automatic can be obtained at an additional price. All versions include trailer sway control, and, correctly equipped, the Fortuner can tow more than 6 6,600 lbs. The newest Toyota Fortuner will go on-sale in Australia, in Siam in a few of other worldwide markets prior to the conclusion of the entire year. During the period of authorship, Toyota isn't considering selling its latest SUV in Europe or in America. Read Source
