Updated Ford Falcon Ute is revealed
Finally, the carmaker has revealed details of the updated Ford Falcon model, which has been planned to be introduced in Australia the upcoming year.
The novelty is based on the brand’s “FG X” range including rear-wheel-drive sedans and SUVs. Cars used that platform come into launching in Australia in 2016.
The updated Falcon Ute is equipped with the 4.0-liter six-cylinder inline engine, which produces the output of 260 horsepower. The powertrain works with as the six-speed manual transmission as the six-speed automatic gearbox. Owing to leaf-spring suspension, the car “is not afraid” of any heavy loads.
If you are looking for a more performance variant, you have to pay attention at the Falcon XR6 Ute turbo. This version is equipped with a similar 4.0-liter engine but turbocharged, which has the power of 362 horsepower.
According to the automaker, the new Ute will be built on the Holden Commodore for the Australian auto market.
