Volkswagen adds a new R-line trim for the Golf
It has been revealed recently that Volkswagen made decision to add its most popular hatchback Golf with a new sporty trim –R-Line as well.
First of all, the model available in that trim will be offered on the European auto market. However, we have a thin hope the U.S. customers will also have an opportunity to get the car in the new R-Line trim as well.
The R-Line trim includes some sporty elements and technical features typical for the sporty versions and performance models as R and GTI.
To add the new trim for the will-known model was a smart step of Volkswagen. The auto manufacturer has both refreshed the model to attract more attention to it and has not spent as much as upgrading of the car.
The R-Line includes new fog lights integrated into the front bumper, renewed intakes, redesigned grille, side skirts, a diffuser insert on the redesigned sportier back bumper and certainly a spoiler at the rear. The new suspension allows decreasing the ride height by 10 mm as well. Also, the carmaker offers the novelty with the brand’s Singapore 17-inch wheels.
The sporty style is in the interior, too. There is the sports theme; front sports bucket seats, multifunction sporty steering wheel, stainless steel pedals, renewed door sills, black and grey accents in the interior.
The gearbox is available the six-speed manual and the six-speed DSG dual-clutch.
In addition, the R-Line trim may be offered also for some Volkswagen’s models such as Touareg, Tiguan and CC.
