We will see the new Porsche 911 Targa soon
Porsche is working on development its new model of the Porsche of the 991-series –the Targa. We had the chance seen a prototype recently. According to the official information, this novelty will be presented in January in Detroit.
The 911 Targa is planned to come on the auto market next spring as a model of 2015.
The new Porsche will get the same powertrain as the Carrera. It will be the 3.4-liter flat-six unit for the basic Targa. This engine can produce the output of 350 horsepower with the torque of 287 lb-ft. Meanwhile, the S version of Targa will have also a flat-six but 3.8-liter engine issuing 400 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of the torque.
The carmaker plans to equip the car with the seven-speed manual gearbox as standard, however, offers the brand’s seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox as optional feature. Besides, the auto manufacturer is going to launch all-wheel drive version too.
Well, now we may patiently wait for the day when the annual Detroit auto show opens its doors and we will see the Porsche Targa there.
