Volkswagen Polo Reviews
Performance
Entrylevel petrol power originates from ageing 1.2litre threecylinder engines.
Ride & Management
The Polo is not as much fun being a Ford Fiesta since there is a reasonable number of body lean through bends along with the steering has an inconsistent weighting that is featherlight one second and much too large the following. Bumps can result in a little bounce, but the trip is incredibly comfortable and extremely supple.
Refinement
Some wind noise accumulates at motorway speeds, but highway noise is held to a minimum and the 1.2 turbo motor has as much oomph which you scarcely want to rev it challenging.
Buying & Possessing
The Polo might become a superior product, however it is not expensive to purchase or operate. Emissions are reduced and its list prices really undercut those of many conventional competitors - and miles-per gallon are high - notably in the variants. Furthermore, no supermini has a much better picture or is as desired. All this signifies the Polo has a few of the greatest resale values of any vehicle in its category.
Safety & Protection
Curtain airbags cost additional, but every Polo has stability control as standard, in addition to front and side airbags. Additionally, it scored five-stars and an exceptional 90% complete evaluation in Euro NCAP crash tests. The normal deadlocks, observable vehicle identification number-plate and security-etched components are fitted as standard.
Driving
There are a few superminis to equal the Polo's simplicity and excellent ergonomics. Clearly - labelled instrumentation, switches, buttons and big dials, along with a wellordered center console make it a doddle to browse. There's a huge variety of adjustment for the driver's seat and controls, while allround visibility is exceptional.
The Polo has adequate space within the front, but several competitors have more back-seat space. The cottage is cheerfully airy, however, and everyone gets a great view outside. The boot is really not the largest in the category, either, but nevertheless, it will be large enough for many people's needs. Some versions get a false ground which can be taken out to produce a remarkably deep hold, fold-down the seatbacks to produce more space and as you too can lift the back seat bases.
The standard trims are Match, S and SEL. S is fairly simple, but provides you with central locking, electrical front windows along with a CD player. SEL versions have additional stowage, upgraded upholstery and trimming, along with a leathertrimmed steering-wheel, whilst the GTI includes a gearbox along with a number of sporty styling touches.
