Acura has updated its ILX for 2016 model year to present at the show in L.A.
Acura set its hopes on the new compact sedan ILX, which was first presented in Detroit two years ago.
That model is based on the Honda Civic, but gets more attractive design and cost higher price because it is oriented on the wealthy customers.
The main rivals of the model are Audi and Mercedes in the same segment of cars. However, both carmakers’ versions are more expensive than the ILX.
Now, Acura is trying to attract more buyers by launching the updated version of the well-known small sedan ILX. The novelty is expected to come on the market next year as a car of 2016 model year.
According to the carmaker, the updated version will get most upgrades in styling, in the interior.
These days, it has released the teaser of the 2016 ILX, where we may notice some new graphics, redesigned taillights and clear lenses.
What about the powertrain. It is simple. The new ILX is offered with two main powertrains: the 2.0-liter four-cylinder and the 2.4-liter also four-cylinder engines. Both units are gasoline. In addition, the auto manufacturer plans to launch a plug-in hybrid version, too.
Certainly, now it is only a teaser, but we will get more information about the Acura’s novelty, when next month the annual auto show taken place in Los Angeles.
Many carmakers have declared their novelties and concepts for that show.
