European Car Market Returned for 20 Years Back

European Association of Car Manufacturers informs that in 2013 sales of cars in Europe reduced by 8,5% and contained 918 280 autos.
Thus, the real historical minimum is recorded: the sales level of cars for last month corresponds to January, 1990. Earlier European market established other anti-record — for all 2012 only 11 million 772 thousand 415 cars were sold in the Old World that became the worst result for the last 17 years were sold.
What about current situation – among big market players only Great Britain car market showed sales increasing. 143 643 automobiles were sold in this country, and it is 11,5% higher than for the same period the year before. The largest market in Europe – Germany - showed results in 192 090 cars sold for January, however decline in demand in this country made 8,6%.
Besides these countries the following ones were included in Top-5 of European Union by the quantity of sold cars: France (124 798 cars, -15,1%), Italy (113 525 cars, -17,6%) and Belgium (50 684 cars, +13,3%). The greatest decline in demand for new cars is recorded in Greece — minus 34,5 %. Estonia, in turn, became the most fast-growing market — plus 28,4 %.
