Mercedes launches the twin turbocharged SL400

As you know, the Mercedes auto manufacturer launches its SL-class equipped with a V8 engine; however, the German carmaker plans to produce its SL-class cars equipped with six-cylinder powertrains for the foreign auto markets.
Owing to these changes, the current SL350 has been replaced by the latest SL400, which gets the engine produces the output of 333 horsepower with the torque of 354 lb-ft.
Moreover, the updated powertrain allows accelerating a car from 0 mph to 62 mph in just 5.2 seconds. In addition, the six-cylinder engine helps to save fuel –the fuel consumption of the new SL400 is only 32.2 mpg in the combined driving conditions.
Besides, the Mercedes band uses this engine in its latest E400 and the new C400, which comes to the U.S. as a car of 2015 model year. By the way, the SL400 is planned to be sold on the home market too.
