Our cameras caught the new Jaguar XF
Earlier, we saw the XF as a testing mule, but now it looks like a common production car. The carmaker conducted tests on the U.K. tracks.
We remind you the present XF model appeared in 2009 to replace the S-Type. Then, in 2012, the XF got the all-wheel-drive, and finally, this year, the model will be updated both outside and in.
As most Jaguar models, the XF is built on the iQ platform. In comparison with the current car, the novelty has similar proportions but wider in a front track.
The new XF is equipped with the brand’s Ingenium family engines: starting from the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, the 3.0-liter V6 supercharged and the V8 unit. Certainly, the all-wheel-drive is available only as an option.
Moreover, the XF will be offered as the Sportbrake, which gets the 5.0-liter V8 supecrharged engine producing the output of 575 horsepower.
In addition, the carmaker also plans to offer the hybrid version in the future.
Officially, the novelty will come on the market not earlier 2016.
