French provider EFI Automotive started its first Us headquarters, in Elkmont, Ala., after spending $2.5 million to enlarge the website of its plant there.
Developments to the website contained add-ons to the industrial plant floor and expanded work place, an EFI Automotive spokesman stated. The main offices opened May 4.
The increased operation will include about 125 occupations, including applied science, technical as well as other administrative positions, CEO Patrick Thollin stated in a statement.
EFI Automotive provides sensors and actuators to the automotive industry. Leading customers include Ford, Gm, Fiatchrysler and Volkswagen.
Pascal Auburtin, general supervisor of the Alabama plant, has directed EFI Automotive The United States since 2004. He'll continue to manage the North American division of the Lyons-Beynost, France, business organization.
