The BMW M6 will be restyled by the next model year
Recently, we have seen the updated version of the BMW M6, which is expected to come on the market next year as a model of 2015.
According to the latest data, the M6 will be still presented in three different body styles: a coupe with four doors, coupe and convertible variants. The novelty will get some restyling elements in and out as much as some additional standard features.
The redesigned model will be still equipped with the similar 4.4-liter V8 turbocharged engine, which is able to produce the output of 560 horsepower and the torque of 500 lb-ft. However, if you need more performance, you may choose the Competition pack, which is able for the novelty with the output of 575 horsepower.
In spite of the M6 weighs more than 4,200 lbs, it is able to accelerate from 0 mph to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds; that figure is similar to both coupe and Grand coupe versions. The convertible variant accelerates in 4.3 seconds. The maximum speed that is electrically limited is 155 mph.
The 2015 M6 is offered with only rear-wheel-drive and the standard seven-speed M-DCT dual-clutch gearbox with paddle shifting and the back differential. Brake discs are steel as standard, but if you would like you may order the carbon ceramic, which are an optional feature.
The exterior is added by the 19-inch forged alloy wheels, but the Grand coupe version is offered with the 20-inch wheels as well, new aerodynamic side mirrors, new redesigned grille and adaptive LED headlights. Other exterior elements such as quad-exhaust pipes, a roof of carbon fiber and aggressive intakes are borrowed from the previous version.
The interior has been also updated with the design, which includes fully leather trim with contrast stitching. The inside features includes the iDrive screen, head-up display, custom sporty gearshift and steering wheel.
According to the auto manufacturer, the updated BMW M6 will be equipped more standard features such as the Merino leather trim, shadow chrome accents and special paint finishes. The brand’s technical additions include the Connective Drive infotainment systems –GoPro and Laptimer applications.
The BMW carmaker plans to show the updated M6 at the auto show in Detroit next January. The novelty comes on the auto market also next year as a car of 2015 model year.
