The small hatch Renault Twingo has been recently redesigned. The novelty gets latest updates from a race version, which was developed by the Renault sporty performance division. There are new exterior details in front and new exhaust pipes.
According to the carmaker, earlier they planned to launch the RS version as a new generation of the Twingo. However, currently, the automaker has made decision to produce the GT version. The main reason is to boost small rear-placed engines avoiding more heating.
The Twingo GT is equipped with the 0.9-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is able to produce the output of 120 horsepower. A common version of the Twingo car issues the power of 90 horsepower as well.
The chassis is used the same as in the latest Smart ForFour tuned by the Brabus for better performance.
In spite of all that information, the Twingo GT is still a prototype. Later, the auto manufacturer presents more details, and next prototype may be also changed some.
The Renault Company plans the official debut of the Twingo Gt at the European auto show next year.
Unfortunatly, that model will be available only in Europe; the U.S. customers will not have an opportunity to buy it soon as well.
