The big recall of Volkswagen in the Chinese auto market
According to Reuters, the Volkswagen Group has to recall over 580,000 cars in China after the agencies investigation that was conducted this August.
The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine declared about the recalling of about 563,605 models of the New Sagitar, which were produced in the period of from May 2011 to May 2014 by the joint venture FAW-Volkswagen in China.
The recall is caused by the problem in the rear axle of the car.
In addition, about 17,485 Beetles that were imported to China are under the recall too. The reason is the same –the rear axle defect.
The official representatives of both auto manufacturers Volkswagen and FAW delay commenting that situation.
We would like to remind you last year the Volkswagen Group recalled about 384,181 cars in China, which had the gearbox problem. After that, the Central Television in China called the German automaker the corporate malpractice.
About 2.7 million cars are delivered to China during the first nine months of this year; that is 15 per cent increase in comparison with last year.
