The new Porsche Cayenne is available with new different powertrains

The Porsche Cayenne is one of the amazing sports SUV. When this model got some technical updates for 2015 model year, the SUV was also equipped with new powertrains as well.

First of all, it is the Cayenne S E hybrid. The hybrid novelty gets the brand’s plug-in hybrid powertrain borrowed from the Panamera S E hybrid.

The total output of the new Cayenne hybrid of the 2015 model year is 416 horsepower.

The new electric motor can provide electric drive only, but it depends on the charged level and circumstances.

The car has the maximum speed of 78 mph while electric drive only. Unfortunately, the auto manufacturer has not announced a mileage of the new Cayenne in electric driving mode but the Panamera S E hybrid can move about 18-30 miles electrically drive.

The S model of the new Porsche Cayenne of 2015 model year is equipped with the 3.6-liter V6 twin turbocharged engine. The new powertrain will replace the well-known 4.8-liter V8 unit. The new powertrain produces the output of 420 horsepower with the torque of 406 lb-ft. The car’s acceleration result is from 0 mph to 62 mph in just 5.2 seconds. The maximum speed of the Cayenne S is 160 mph.

The carmaker offers the diesel and turbo versions of the famous SUV.

The novelty’s updated exterior includes new LED headlights with the brand’s dynamic light system for a diesel version, and the Bi-xenon headlights for others as standard. The car gets redesigned fenders in front and a hood.

The back part gets new taillights and brake lights with four elements.

The interior is similar to the 918 Spyder hybrid has. There is improved comfort, technologies providing good-controlled driving. As a sports model, the new SUV has the sporty steering wheel as well.

According to the auto manufacturer, the new Porsche Cayenne of 2015 model year comes on the market this November. The basic price for the U.S. market is planned to be 61,700 dollars for the diesel version, the S model -74,000 dollars, the most expensive variant is the Turbo model costs 113,600 dollars.
