Volkswagen has conducted the first drive of the latest Golf R
Meeting every requirement of potential buyers, Volkswagen is ready to present the new Golf R equipped with the 292-hp powertrain, manual gearbox and the all-wheel-drive.
The novelty comes on the market next year as a model of 2016. However, customers in the U.S. should not be happy so much because currently the carmaker cannot confirm launching of that model for the U.S. auto market.
The praised engine of the novelty produces the output of 290 horsepower and the torque of 280 lb-ft. and accelerates the car from 0 mph to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds. The car gets the all-wheel-drive 4Motion system.
The new Golf R has become not only high performance, well handling but also comfortable due to increasing dimensions -0.2 inch in the width, 2.6 inches in the length and 2.1 inches in the wheelbase. The car is offered with 18-inch and 19-inch wheels.
