Volkswagen presents its new edition of Jetta TDI
This year the Volkswagen manufacturer is preparing to launch the smallest sedan with a diesel engine. The carmaker plans to sell this economy novelty for 22,115 dollars.
According to the auto manufacturer’s statement, the Jetta TDI Value edition is equipped with the 2.0-liter clean diesel engine TDI, which is able to issue the output of 140 horsepower with the torque of 236 lb-ft. The novelty gets a standard six-speed gearbox; meanwhile, the new Jetta will be also offered with the dual-clutch automatic gearbox for the extra charge of 1,100 dollars.
The potential owners will be glad to know the fuel consumption of the novelty –there is 30 mpg in city conditions and 42 mpg on highways as well.
The Jetta TDI is equipped with many modern and innovative technical features such as the brand’s media interface, a telescoping steering wheel, and power seats. This novelty has 16-inch steel wheels as well as brown and olive colors of body style as standard.
However, besides the diesel variant of Jetta TDI Value edition, the auto manufacturer would like to offer a cheaper version of it –a Jetta equipped with a gas powertrain, which is planned to cost about 17,540 dollars.
