ZF TRW's new facility airbag is among the products you see and immediately think, "Yeah, that makes sense." Dirk Schultz, international engineering manager for ZF TRW inflatable restraints techniques, stated in a news release that the threat to the front seat passenger is "substantial" when the vehicle is hit in the side.
